Whoa, this is an amazing discovery, but hugely and astonishingly weird too. It is a kind of music that I rarely meet and get pulled into.
Hailing from Norway, it's a five piece band all of which are Ihsahn members. The music they create here is, simply put, progressive metal, but it runs so much deeper and is influenced by many genres. The instrument work is a work of art, really. And you really get the feel that it was put together with a lot of care. But, what gives the album its lunacy filled atmosphere are actually the vocals. A kind of specific vocals the can be described as a non-apparent Ozzy and Devin mix, plus much more!
I don't know what else to say, really. It is truly multi-layered and just needs to be experienced firsthand. Not many words can describe it and do the justice it deserves.
