Capricorns - Ruder Forms Survive (2005)

It's not easy to categorize Capricorns, as they blur the lines between post-metal, sludge, stoner and doom, blending them into different, but equally epic songs lasting from over twelve minutes to a bit less than four. On top if it they're instrumental, excluding one song on this album. Even that single song's lyrics aren't indicated in the booklet, only this:
And its my ropes
And its my gloves
And its my first knife
And its him
And his last life that offends me
The album's atmosphere changes constantly, ranging from eerie to a sludge-type groovy to gracefully melodic, it's truly amazing. Did I mention a member of the now defunct god-band Iron Monkey plays guitars in this band?
