Kekal is an extreme black/progressive/avant-garde metal band from Jakarta, Indonesia. According to Allmusic, Kekal were one of the first heavy metal bands from Indonesia to make international inroads.
there's debate as to whether or not Kekal are a Christian band or not.. "The Painful Experience" was released in the U.S. on the now defunct Christian label "Clenchedfist Records", sweet label and sadly missed. however Kekal have never been outspoken about their spiritual stance but their lyrics hint at it. regardless their music will put you on an epic journey.
