First Blood / On Burning Shores / Unholy Lust

if you're a staunch loyalist to your genre of choice don't bother with any of my posts because i'm open minded to all heavy music.. i'll check out any band at least once to broaden my musical interests, discovering something new you're into is is rare and precious these days. so.. again.. if you're not like minded don't even bother with any of my posts and to thoses who do.. enjoy. i'm not here to make waves or offend the loyal fan base already established but my posts are ment for existing fans of Loadown and my hope is that they attract new fans.

On Burning Shores "Common Ground" EP 2009

On Burning Shores play a pumelling brand of what's considered the new death metal by many or maybe just music influenced by traditional death metal. not changing the genre just evolving it but not really in the traditional sense the blending of death metal and hardcore. slowed down death metal with melody and a breakdown here and there.. i refuse to use the term used to described this newer genre so check'em out, or not.. i like this direction in the genre.

Unholy Lust "Taste The Sin Through The Fire" 2010

Often a band stumbles across a winning metal formula without even setting out on that coal-cobbled path to begin with, and California's Unholy Lust provide a worthwhile example. Initially the band dabbled with aggressive punk music before their tastes started to take a dive towards the fiery spheres of Hell, and after a pair of self-released live recordings the band have wound up on the Blood Harvest imprint with their debut Taste the Sin Through the Fire, an incredibly voracious and fun blend of blackened thrash dynamics which culls influences directly from the source of such mayhem, fashioned here into a simple but fanatical concoction that will surely inebriate the willing, horn throwing hordes. -autothrall ..more Here
