Drumcorps - Grist (2006)

Drumcorps is a dude called Aaron Spectre. He makes breakcore music - no, this has nothing to do with any of the metal-related "-core" genres; breakcore is electronic music characterized by complex rhythm patterns, but I'll copy-paste the last.fm tag's description so you basement-dwelling metalheads can learn something new.
Breakcore is a loosely defined electronic music style that brings together elements of industrial, jungle, hardcore techno and idm into a breakbeat-oriented sound that encourages speed, complexity, impact and maximum sonic density. Similar to punk, breakcore adheres to a loose set of stylistic “rules” and is defined more by an attitude than by a musical formula.
Alright, now back to Drumcorps. His main influences come from - you guessed it - metal, namely from bands like Pig Destroyer, Converge and Botch. His songs often contain samples from the aforementioned bands, some of them are remixes. Broaden your musical horizons, enjoy this album, stop being a dick to youself.
