Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment (Demo 1987)
If you're into really indecipherable brutal grindcore, this is a solid album. A must-have for grind fans and those who enjoy demos. It's impressive how much this band changed, even if the changes went downhill.

Reek Of Putrefaction (1988)
This is where goregrind started. This album is still one of the most brutal and extreme releases ever to hit the ground. The great meaning of it meaning of it is evident – many bands tried to copy the sound and the manner the album is written in.

Symphonies Of Sickness (Demo 1988)
All I can say is that this needs to be heard to fully appreciate what Carcass were able to create in their early days, and to fully grasp just how far they have fallen in such short time. Like I once said about another demo - hunt it down any way you can, and if you ever spot the original in any trade list, don't even hesitate one smallest fraction of a second.

Symphonies Of Sickness (1989)
This is undoubtedly the best goregrind album, and undoubtedly the best work of Carcass' masterful career.

Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious (1991)
Absolutely Carcass at their finest.

Tools Of The Trade EP (1992)
Another killer release from one of the greatest bands ever. Carcass are the unholy fathers of Gore, and this is just one of many testaments to their wickedness. The classic line up delivers another masterpiece. A must have for all true fans.

Heartwork & Pre-Heartwork Parr Street Demos (1993)
Heartwork is an absolute classic of the death metal genre. Very original and full of catchy riffs and interesting song structures. I can proudly say that without Heartwork, I would not be where I am today. This album, along with Immortal's "Sons Of Northern Darkness," got me into extreme metal. In my mind, Carcass is right up there with the HUGE innovators like Black Sabbath and Venom. They opened up many doors for extreme metal and helped create a style that has been copied but rarely equalled many times over the years. It's heavy and melodic, but not in the horrible Nickleback or Alter Bridge sense. In the good sense. It keeps extreme fast songs (Carnal Forge, Heartwork) while still making time for slower songs that still maintain an awesome level of heaviness (Buried Dreams, Embodiment). Definitly a must have.

Swansong (1996)
Many people (especially us metalheads) fear change, more notably when it happens to our favourite bands, since many times the change has been horrid (ie: Risk), but Swansong delivers a heavy, pounding, melodic and overall much different Carcass. Highly recommended.
