Real Swedish death metal from America. If you weren't a fan of Swedish death in 1990, this album wont make you a believer. On the other hand, fans of Nihilist, Carnage, Entombed, and Dismember should find this album to be a highlight reel of the best of Swedish death.
If I was to use one word to describe this album, it would be "guttural". Low guitars and deep vocals tear up from the bowels of every track. While a bit on the short side, Beneath the Columns never fails to deliver a high quality, old school death metal experience.
